ILDA's awards for excellence -- the laser display industry's equivalent of Hollywood's Oscars --each year honor companies and individuals from around the world for their achievements:
• The Artistic Award categories cover virtually all aspects of modern laser displays, from the production of huge outdoor shows to the creation of individual laser graphics.
• The Fenning Award honors technological achievement that advances the industry.
• The Career Achievement Award is ILDA's highest honor, given for work spanning many years in the area of show quality, innovation, and industry service.
• ILDA Professional Presentation. Each year, recognizes companies that have received ILDA Pro accreditation since the last Awards Presentation. The companies are awarded trophies to mark their accomplishment.
For 2011, ILDA received 119 artistic entries from 20 different Member companies. These artistic entries were judged August 2 2011 in London, with Malcolm Hignett organizing the judging and Chris Matthews of LCI hosting.

3rd: "Laser Harp Controller", Prolight
A full-color laser harp controller for ILDA-compatible laser projectors. Users can switch between several modes with different numbers of beams as well as several beam color combinations.
The Laser Harp Controller does not include a built-in laser projector. This enables users to freely choose their own laser setup for every performance, whether they need a less powerful laser for indoor events or a high-powered laser for open air performances. It can be used with monochrome or full-color lasers as well.
Honorable Mention: "Moncha.NET", Showtacle Ltd.
Moncha.NET integrates an Ethernet laser show controller, DMX controller and stand-alone laser show player into one small OEM board, which can be installed directly to any laser show system. It uses a standard SD card (up to 32 GB) to store up to 254 complete laser shows totaling up to 20 hours of show material.
It has a laser safety brightness map which works in DMX or stand-alone mode. It can be controlled remotely over Ethernet or Internet (using a public IP address); this includes uploading frames and shows, configuring the stand-alone mode, configuring the brightness map, and optimizing color balance and fade-in curves. It has DMX-512 outputs and inputs.
